Chest pains a month and a half after tapering prednisone

Hi guys,

I was on prednisone from june 21-sept 3. While on it I noticed that I had very fast and irregular heartbeats occasionally but I basically ignored them knowing that it is a side effect of pred. Now, over a month after stopping, I have started getting heart palpitations, chest pains an a rapid and hard heartbeat. It had been bugging me for a week and I eventually went to ER. They kept me and did all tests (bloodwork,ECG,ultrasound, chest X-ray, and a stress test) an said there's nothin wrong with my heart, aside from a slightly fast beat. I just today thought maybe the pred is still affecting me?? I did a little research and found that some people experience side effects from pred for up to 3 months after. Is this common? And would it just start happening a month after?

I can't come up with any other reason and the pains really freak me out. But then I am always fine after.

Can anyone relate or make sense of all this?
