Prednisone not working? Abdomen pain still persisting..

After finally tapering off of pred about 5 weeks ago, I am in an other flare up and meds (Ascol) I had been taking for the last few months is not doing anything for me anymore.

I started taking 40 mg of pred yesterday and also today. I am almost feeling more severe pains than I had before. And I am still suffering the same side effects. Last time I took pred, it worked within the very day, could by body just be more immune to the pred? Or is there something wrong?

I am at the same point. Prednisone isnt working as well as it used to. As Sherry says you can't expect your colon to heal within a day. Do you have a UC friendly diet going as that helps with faster healing.
