Do you have Pancolitis?
I will give you an example my dentist gave me once about a tooth ache - when the initial pain sets in, we feel the pain, we react to the pain but eventually the body becomes accustomed to the pain and "minimalizes" it so we can function. I feel that is the same thing we feel with our colons. We start with the initial pain, we get used to it, but as the inflammation progresses, we get a new type of pain or discomfort and/or symptoms and the cycle repeats. So unless the "ulcerations" or inflammation stays in one area, each area or spot can feel different then the last, if that makes sense?
For instance, when I flare rectally I get pain upon going, some urgency, no cramping or pain higher up. But when it goes further to the sigmoid, I get lower abdominal cramping along with the pain and urgency, not so much rectal anymore, to my Tranverse, extreme cramping, extreme urgency and severe pain, not so much sigmoid pain or rectal pain.
