*OT* Is regifting for Christmas ok?

A couple years back my office had a Yankee-Swap that was strictly re-gifting. You had to regift something you had got previously and didn't like. It was pretty funny to see what people brought in. Lots of scented candles were brought in, some figurines, and such.

I tend not to regift. We'll either yardsale it or put stuff in a "free pile" on the busy road we live on. Things go very quickly haha.

I take things in the spirit they are given and laugh out loud at some of them. We quit gifting to adults years ago so I don't get to laugh as much at (idiotic) gifts. I always hated to think someone (my mother usually) spent their money on crap so a re-gift would be better.

Don't give me anything except your time to make a call and talk. Buy yourself a cupcake and tell me how good it was (non-sarcastic, really). Donate that money to a good (non-political) cause.
