about a week ago I went to my local urgent care because I was having extreme sharp pains on my left side. I had bad cramping all obver my stomach and I constantly get bad cramps when I feel like I need to vacate my bowels. No matter how long I sit, I can only very rarely have a movement and there's always blood when I wipe.
That dr wanted a ct scan and a bunch of tests but I am seeing my own gastroenterologist Tuesday. I've been in a liquid diet and keeping a heating pad on my left side.
My question is does this sound like colitis. Either way I'm not sure what to ask my dr. The longer I wait the more the pain intensifies.

I have eosinophilic esophagitis. A collection of white cells gather in my throat and cause it to swell shut. I have go no food allergies so we aren't sure why this keeps happening. I've had 3 egds this year.
I saw a different dr, urgent care, because of the pain and he did an exam (no hemrrhoids) he said I had fissures in my rectum that was the source of the bleeding. I had a ct that showed everything normal but my blood tests showed that I was bleeding from somewhere. A second ct showed some intestinal swelling. He wanted to call a surgeon right then but I felt that was moving too quickly. So I decided to see my specialist first.

Sounds like you need a colonoscopy to see whats going on.
