I have decided that I am certain I am going to not have my next Remicade infusion. I have thoroughly approached my GI docs before my last two infusions, telling them of my body aches, feverish feelings, low grade fevers, fatigue, and headaches. Both times I've been told to have the infusion.
It turns out that I have mono, badly. I've had it since August probably, though only recently have been testing for it. I did two weeks bed rest before my last infusion of Remicade, and was getting much better in regards to mono. Then I had my infusion and I got sicker each day that week after Monday's infusion.
I am going to quit Remicade for the time being, ask to go back on Pentasa, and add LDN to my regimen. My only issue is that my appointment to see my GI doctor is a month away (January 23rd ish). Do I wait until then (about two weeks before the next scheduled Remi infusion), or do I call and tell them what I want to do, now?
