Possibly one of the most judgmental & negative threads I've read in a long time. Folks, if you don't like it or him, just don't say anything. Maybe it helps someone, or maybe they like the drink. Not for you to say. Focus on healing, not tearing down.

fmt, i reread the thread just because i couldn't remember it being a "bad" thread. i still didn't read anything negative... was it the stuff about
oprah or dr. phil you didn't like? i'd say this was a pretty nice thread actually.

Indycat, sounds like a great drink! But it'd be wild if Dr. Oz tried to put any claim on this drink. I think the anti-inflammatory properties he is referring to is based on the phytonutrients that some of the veggies contain.
There is 2 basic rules to juicing:
1) drink on an empty stomach
2) drink right away if possible

If your not into green drinks, you need to add more sweetness! Without going overboard!
I made this delicious smoothie, finally perfected one of my own after trial and error:
2 pineapple rings
a handful of baby spinach
1 banana
add ice & milk, blend!
DELISHH :)

Green drinks are perfect for a healthy life. Green drinks are completely chemical free. These are made of natural herbs. These drinks help in regulating blood sugar level.

I think dr. Oz is a quack- but- I drink green juices most every morning, mostly because it's easy and convenient and packed full of nutrients. My go to is almond milk, Greek yogurt, kale and or spinach, pineapple, and banana or strawberries.
I just throw it all in a blender (a cheap one) and drink.
Since being dx with UC I've switched to a mostly vegetarian diet- I'm not sure it makes a difference, but for some reason I was craving veggies the entire time I was flaring- so I took advantage and am consuming plenty now!
