How long do you spend on the toilet

Haven't been hear in a while, but still flaring. As much as I am loving the Thursday Next series by jasper Fforde, I am sick of sitting on the toilet, at least 1 1/2 hors a day. Surgery still nagging me. April perhaps.

I probably spend 45 minutes inthe mornings (2 "sessions") then another 45 in the evenings. Of course, I have my iPad with me so some of that time is just because I get wrapped up online.

Yep, I might even be more like 2 hours. Of course the iPad might add a little, but I can usually tell if something is in the works. You have to, or else deal with the dreaded accident.

At least 2 hours a day. I usually use the time to post on here with my ipod touch :)

When I was flaring, I didn't spend that much time on the toilet. Everything came out very quickly. Sure, I'd be in there 15-20 times a day, but never for more than 5 or 10 minutes. In remission, my BMs are still pretty quick. Now that I'm getting "pretty pregnant," I'm having some issues with constipation, so BMs sometimes take a bit longer now. And, of course, I'm peeing a lot, so am in the bathroom a lot again.

I also go pretty quickly unless I plan on being out somewhere then I may try staying a little longer.

In remission or flaring, soft or firm BM, I'm usually there, from the time I squat (yes, I squat on the toilet), to the time I start wiping is usually about 5-10 seconds.

I guess I got 'lucky' in at least one GI related area of my life.

usually about 20 - 30 mins for me. luckily this has only been happening once or twice a day for me for the past couple of months.

that's awesome - what, are you using, rocket fuel enemas ?

If it would keep me in remission I would do it! In college (pre-UC/CD) I was known to a couple of friends as the 'King of the Two-second dump' wink

Gotta say, my iphone has been a mixed blessing with bsthroom breaks..it entertains me, but now I stay on longer than I should & the hemmies have really taken a hit from that.

toilet sitting is my least favorite thing. it depends on how many times i go a day, but i'm usually on there 10-15 min per visit. sometimes it can be 20 minutes if i'm cramping a lot. i usually go a lot during the first 5 minutes and then i'll sit there for 5-10 minutes after that just to be POSITIVE everything is out.

i hate when i get up, flush, go sit down, and then boom, there is still more to come out. longer sitting makes me avoid this.

I would be pretty quick during the daytime, but from 4pm on i usually spend 10 to 15 mins every hour. and just before bedtime i frequently need an hour.

There is a new toilet for toddlers training that has an attachment arm for an iPad, not sure that is a good idea, but I wouldn't mind one.

I was just estimating that I have been on the toilet, in serious discomfort, probably over 1000 times in the last 14 months. Maybe more like 1500. Lots of those in the hours between 12 am and 6 am. So great.
