Finally got my scrips. Proctozone-HC. 2.5%. I guess that's what my insurance would pay for. Says its for anal fissures and itching. Also got lidocaine 5% , 8 boxes!!!!! I can numb from Florida to you in Canada lol. I think it sound ok. Do you know of the first one? Is it similar to the one you use? Hope they work:).

I'm assuming the Lidocaine is ointment/gel/cream? I'm feeling numb already..lol.

The proctosedyl has antibiotic/antibacterial/numbing agent (cinchocaine) and hydrocortisone 5mg.

At least you have something to use, and it should work fairly quickly. Looking foward to hearing how it goes.

Cream! For the proctozone , lidocaine is ointment with no flavor ,but with peppermint oil. . Why can't you get what you want? I'm whining now to myself . So frustrating ! I guess I have what I have. Better work lol

sheesh, peppermint oil lidocaine. Well, at least it'll have a cooling numbing effect!

The proctozone, did it come with a nozzle thingie?

Nowadays....having expectations is almost mindblowing, especially for people to have a job done without mistakes. My pharmacy's going through major changes, and it seems that the incompetence of some is what's causing the "good ones" to leave because of all the stress it's causing them.

It all sucks...

Keep me posted here to let me know how the "new meds" are working...

i caught part of a 60 minutes segment sunday regarding the replacement of bodies with robots ( well, there was more to it but this works)

it sucks that people are not finding jobs but sometimes not - i absolutely agree - nothing ever seems to get done right - either employees are too dumb or don't care, or probably both - it's getting reeeeeeaaallly old !

i don't mind that the guy at the clothing store is a dope, but when you're talking life or death stuff, dang, that's scary -

am i off topic here ? sorry !

Quincy, yes it came with a nozzle thingie. I'm actually feeling better. Just to let you know peppermint oil stings when using it rectally. Lol.. I hate them at my pharmacy:(

Soystud ,I'm originally from New York. Floridas pay scale sucks down here. Hard to get people that are qualified to do a good job. I had to take a big cut in wages when coming down here. Not life or death type of job . I don't think they give a crap, when not getting paid what they deserve.

Well, gotta LOVE my pharmacy...didn't charge me for meds today....about $800. I was buying other stuff too, we were talking and oopsie!

I'm going in tomorrow to pay..lol

Faith...good to hear you feel a bit better. i'm not surprised your poor butt stings...peppermint is also an irritant if the dosage is high. Since it's probably meant for your mouth rather than your butt...saliva offers a bit of a buffer....got to laugh at the fact that it's what you got, but it's still weird.

soy....I totally agree. But see how proactive we learn to be? Trust is one thing, cautious is another. Always best to check.

Today I got another generic brand of 5ASA than the one I used last month. Since I've not had any problems, I said go for the large amount of 500. Well, it's now another generic brand...hopefully no problems. My brain feels like a yo-yo...

I called last night and talked with the one who forgot. He said to come in whenever...I'll be in today. Unless i absolutely forgot, it's not someone I want to screw around with, because I have enough complaints already there. I want them to be valid!

Funny thing happened today , I think I'll share. Went to get my hair cut and colored today. At the salon I go to they have a pemenent makeup person. I know her pretty well. I asked what she numbs peoples brows with. Of course she said Lidocaine. She showed me hers. It's called numpot, Topical Anesthetic Balm
(Anorectal)5% in nice big print. I said where did you get this stuff. She said she orders it on-line. She was nice enough to give me a jar. Had to tell her my story. I'm going back on Friday and give her my flavored crapola.
She mixes hers with 10% lidocaine. Strong stuff right??? Need some of that. I knew it existed. I'd like to take my crap and thisstuff back to the pharmacy to show them. Is it worth making me mad? Looking for a new Pharmacy where no one knows me Lol

Wow, see what we gain by asking questions?? haha...

Peppermint shouldn't be used on the skin, especially around the eyes, so I hope she doesn't use it on anyone. It could cause a reaction with the tattoo as well.

Is the lidocaine she mixes with it a gel? So that should even out as like an 8%.

There are cautions for use of inflamed skin/membranes and the use of high % of lidocaine...5% is the limit of continual use.

Just looked it up online. $48.00 for one ounce. The one I was going to give her says do not use near eyes. So guess I'll be paying the $48.00. Why would this product be so expensive? Says it contains lidocaine and petroleum jelly. Now I know where to get it. Not a bad thing to keep on hand. Works great!
