iron test if It's low we try ferumoxytol

Wow met with my hematologist today and she said this iron is a shot into the vein in less than thre minutes. She said the old school way of doing things is the IV. She said this has no side effects. Wow blew my mind. Made me feel really good about taking iron. I will know in a couple of days, if my iron is on a upswing she doesn't want to do this yet.

Anyone take Slow FE if so how many a day? I'm suppose to get 325mg so that would be two of these a day right?

wait, is this the iron injection?? i know there is someone on the crohn's forum who was doing injections and had some problems with it. i know she did this years before they did iron infusions, but she's since changed to iron infusions. i wish i knew what her injection was called.

i was taking slow FE in 2011. didn't notice any problems with it. i just took one a day.
