Hi, has any UC sufferer tried Collostrum? A friend if mine seen something stating it helped rid UC???

I had some benefit but like most supplements that seemed to taper off... I have heard of other people having a good results from it. It seems kind of weird to me that you can put it in a pill seeing how it really comes out early in the breast milk and needs to be fresh but I don't know, whatever. Odd they don't make breast milk supplements but they do make colostrum supplements.

colostrum is what stopped my bleeding. it didn't do anything for my other symptoms, but in late november, i need a few blood tranfusions from all the blood loss. i haven't had bleeding since i started it in mid december. it's probably been about 20 days since i took it, but i was taking 1 big tablespoon a day. it has an interesting taste so i mixed it with coconut water.

i use cow's colostrum but i know they make goat's colostrum, too. it's just way more expensive.

I tried it but it didn't do anything...used it for almost a whole year before giving up on it. Best of luck to anyone that tries it.

i use New Zealand Colostrum. They have no mad cow disease there and have the best dairy farms in the world. They have with-holding periods when they give cows antibiotics which means that you will NOT get any antibiotic in your colostrum or milk (or any dairy product from NZ for that matter). They also ban the use of rBGH (or rBST) hormone.
And yes it has helped me (see my sig for other things).

I have tried it on several occasions (I don't rule out trying it again) but have never noticed even the slightest effect one way or the other- ditto for lactoferrin, which itis usually combined with commercially. Not sure what to make of it- it sure reads well in the natural health literature.

I am a big believer that some natural supplements not only help but can help achieve remission. There is actual scientific data on several. I have never seen any sceintific data showing Colustrum works - other than what is available from the sites who are selling it. That's never enough for me because you can't trust info provided by the very people who are trying to sell the product. This is one I don't believe in.
