Joint pains on imuran?

I have been on imuran for a few weeks now and am experiencing joint pains- so far fairly mild- in a couple of my fingers and wrist and today a bit in my elbow and knee. Blood tests still all normal. I had very nasty joint pains on remicade that, combined with elevated ANA, forced me to stop that. Frankly i am fed up with these toxic garbage meds- but I consuder surgery ludicrous now as an option as I feel there's too much uncertainty re crohns vs UC. Do some of you manage ok with joint pains from imuran? If it doesnt get worse I could put up with it... But i am not up to my therapeutic dose yet.

I had joint pain while taking Asacol... but I've never taken Imuran. But I just wanted you to get some kind of answer, so there you go! :)

Could the joint pain be from your bodily inflammation? Does getting joint pain mean you may not be tolerating the drug?

Right now I can't be counted on for anything it seems, I don't have joint pain, but I feel so exhausted and icky most days. Still hoping I get a boost into remission with this drug though at what cost?

Thanks for the feedback. My joint pain is 100%, without any doubt whatsoever, due to the Imuran and not from pred or tapering the pred. Have never had serious issues re pains from pred or tapering pred, other than stiff joints when on high doses. In this case thou the only change was that I added imuran. Sounds like I will have to stop this drug- oh well, another medical therapy failed- I am back to alternative and LDN it seems.
