New Member. Hi!

I have been reading forums on here for over a year and it has helped me greatly. I have finally decided to join because I have had lots of complications and really need the support sometimes. Here's a summary:
I got diagnosed with proctitis in June of 2011. I started on Asacol and Canasa and was in remission in 3 weeks. about 6 months later symptoms came back hardcore. In May 2012 I got diagnosed with Pancreatitis caused by mesalamine. Started on Prednisone. Ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration and anemia in June. There I had a blood transfusion and my first dose of Remicade. Then out of the hospital, after 2nd Remicade, my kidneys failed. After getting blasted with steroids to save the kidneys, I suffered another flare as I tapered and had to increase the dose until the Imuran kicked in.
Anyway, I am thankful for all of you!

Hope you are doing much better now. Too bad you had to go through so many complications. Do you have actual lasting damage to your kidneys now? What a way to find out you can't tolerate a drug.

How long ago did you start on Imuran? I'm also on that, started Jan 2 and I'm at 100 mg too, though I think the plan is to up the dose.
