Hey guys,
So I just got back from my primary care doc since I thought I had a kidney infection (had a uti about a week ago) and he did a urine test and found sugar in my blood. We did a sugar test on the spot and it was 99, which was fine after eating one hour ago.
What the HECK? He is attributing this to my prednisone use (ended in nov 2011 for 10 months) which totally blows my mind!!! Is looking into my gi drugs more since we couldn't get ahold of my gi. Anyone else experience this??
He wanted a kidney ultrasound, glucose tolerance test, and 24 hour urine screen.... I talked him into doing the urine sample again in a week. This just totally blows my mind.
Help?! If this has to do with my steroids I'm going to bash my head into the wall.
