Some of you know I started flaring again after a short remission. I was on enemas nightly for only about
a week when I saw my GI. He told me that I had an ulcer way smaller than before but it was slightly higher up. He said high enough that suppositories won't help. Has anyone ever had an ulcer that didn't start right at the bottom? It's still in the rectum, though. Also, this little ulcer is causing me to be quite symptomatic and we all know that sucks. I'm trying to fix my movements by having them more solid and consistent. I'm going about
2-4 times in the morning and last night I had to go and also expelled my enema.
Recently, I've been eating A LOT of sweets, from drinks to food. I have to stop that and get back to a good diet. Another question I have is metamucil better as pills or powder? I've tried and failed metamucil powder before. It makes me bloated and uncomfortable.
I hope the enemas keep working for me. Some days are good and others are bad. He said it would take at least 3 weeks to get better. In addition, instead of the 3 enemas per week maintenance, he said I would be better with 5 enemas per week for a while.
Thanks.
