Woman Pissed Me Off this morning...

I don't usually vent like this, but a rough morning already -- I was taking my roomies dog for a walk out front. While he was pooing in the grassy area, a woman, her dog and an older couple walk by. I'm holding the dog back from hers,
and she says, "do you need a bag?"
"no thank you" i say,
and she continues to stare at me and Tybee (roomies dog)
so I say, "I don't think he's finished yet"
and they start walking, looking back at me, she says "oh i think he is"

Implying that I would leave Tybee's dog poop there if she wasn't watching me.

I just wanted to respond with, "okay, mind your own business thank you"! mad

As always, I picked up his poo, and went inside pissed off. It's in my experience that when you try to pick up dog crap while your dog is pulling on the reins, accidents can happen. Yuck. This is why I waited for her and her pup to leave.

Why?! I don't understand why this makes me angry. She was just looking out for the historic area that we live... sad

I would of said to her: nothing to see here, move it along... smilewinkgrin

Some people just can't mind their own business. Don't give her any power by being mad.

You should have just said, "no thanks,. I just palm it, put it in my pocket, and flush it when I get home...bags are so wasteful!" She would never come near you again!

She probably has had lots of experience with other people who don't pick up after their dogs. You could have said that you do have a bag and you get her intent.

I guess you had a bag, unless you were planning to palm it. So you could've just said, No thank you, I have one in my pocket.

I don't really mind dog logs in my yard since I don't have young children that play in the yard. I have taught my dog to use "the City" side of the sidewalk- that portion between the sidewalk and the road in lieu of the yard side of the sidewalk. There is, however, a doctor in my neighborhood who allows his 2 large sheepdogs to just go all over the sidewalk. That ticks me off.

I guess being raised in the country where who knows what animal would poop in the yard, I am use to looking where I walk. I must say though that in all the years growing up, I cannot remember a wild animal ever pooping on any concrete around our house.

BTW...as a UCer, I must say that I am highly jealous of my dog's stool!

Once we took our two dogs for a walk in some buildings by our house. I was literally carrying the bag because one of them had already pooped. A guy in a car stops and says its all fine and good for you to bring your dogs over here but no body ever thinks about the poor guy how has to mow the grass. And keeps going on about how morally wrong it is to not clean up after your dogs. I am like we pick up after our dogs and showed him the bag. It made my mother in law that happened to be with us so mad. He had even brought God into it. I don't remember how though. I personally found it kinda funny because the guy was far off the reservation.

46...old enough to realise it's neglectful of community living if pets poop on any property and not scooped other than in one's own. doesn't matter if kids play in the yard.

you should see all the crap in 2 of my neighbours' yards...I can only imagine the crap in the house after their dogs have eaten it or stepped in it. oh, and they have kids as well...gross

Dogs are you responsibility and so their poops.
I think that woman didn't have a bad intention but she might be a local enjoying the communal park and who is fed up of unresponsable dog owners. However, she didn't leave you time to "prove yourself", she assumed you wouldn't clean. If it was 3 pm you would probably have taken it with a smile but early in the morning (im grumpy in the morning) I understand why you wanted to kick her ahah

A few years ago I was living in a rough Montreal area and there was a woman with 2 dogs at the end of the street that made her dogs poop in all the neighbourhood front and rear gardens and didn't pick it up.

Once I saw her get into MY backyard by opening my fence, let her dogs pooped in my garden and walked out. When I asked her what she thinks she is doing she said words that I cannot disclose here in fear of a lifetime ban!

Then a neighbour got an idea, to kidnap the dogs, bath them in their own poo and bring them back to this owner...

She's lucky it was you and not me. I can see her point of view with having so many irresponsible pet owners who don't clean up after their dogs, but I don't take being called out by someone I don't know who thinks they can boss me around very well. It would get ugly. :(

I have 3 bulldogs so that lady would have struck a nerve with me too! People like her really get on my last nerve! They need to learn to mind their own business! Geez!
