Colitis descending colon

Hi have had colitis in the lower part of bowel for 13 years and went to the doctor the other day as I had a burning feeling under my rib on the right side. The doctor pressed on my tummy and was in soooo much pain. He told me that it was my colitis in my descending colon. He put me on antibiotics which I have now finished. Has anyone else had their colitis spread to the descending colon as at present I am not having pro titis symptoms at all :/

That sounds like your transverse colon, hepatic flexture... under your own left handed side is your descending colon.
I cant tell if you had it in the sigmoid originally, down near your rectum.. or more lower descending.. and now it has moved up into the splenic or hepatic flexture..

Did he tell you why he thought it had spread?

How could he tell it spread without a flex sig or colonoscopy?

Doctors are super smart, Teddtlove.. they can just press on you with their hands and know intuitively what antibiotic to give you and your disease progress. I think its kinda of like how the naturopaths like muscle testing.
