Not all whey protein is the same - alot of them are full of HFCS and other junk, some according to Consumer Reports even contain Arsenic in them.
The only whey protein I can recommend, from personal experience, is the one I use every day:
Mercola's Pro-Optimal Whey Protein - it's Paleo, haha - because it comes from grass fed cows that have not been given any hormones or antibiotics, and the other thing I like about it is that it already contains digestive enzymes in it. I use it with almond milk.
I am lactose/casein intolerant and have no problems with it.
As far as L-Glutamine powder - yea it's great for long term colonic repair (I add it to my shakes every day), and it's good for diarrhea too: just take a heaping teaspoon in a little water or juice.
