Do you ever get fevers with your flares?
I'm having a proctitis flare in the part of the rectum that was left after my colectomy and started running a low grade fever with no other symptoms a few days ago. No respiratory issues, no GI problems (besides the aforementioned rectal flare), no skin infections, etc. My GI says she's quite sure it's the result of the flare so there's nothing to do besides continue to try to treat the inflammation (she also took blood and urine cultures to confirm nothing else is going on).
I never had a fever with a flare before (to my knowledge... I was on pred most of the time I was flaring though, and pred suppresses fevers, so that might be why it never happened before). Do they tend to come and go or am I going to be running a low grade fever until I find a way to resolve the inflammation?? Do you take Tylenol to try to reduce the fever or just live with it? The only real 'problem' I'm having is a mild headache and sometimes some temperature weirdness (like sweating more than usual).
