mercaptopurine once or twice a day?

Hey, I was wondering I take 2 tablets of 50mg a day so it = 100mg.

Am I/was I suppose to take it all together or split it up 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night?

Would both result in the same suppression to the immune system? Or would one way result in a higher suppression?

I am not sure why you'd want to break the dosage up like that, take one in the morning and one at night. You'd end up with the same exact amount of medication in your body within a 24/hour period so I would guess the result would be the same whether you took it all at once, or split the dosage up. Do you think you need a stronger dosage of mercaptopurine or something if so ask your GI?

I take my mercaptopurine in the late evening as I am getting ready for bed. I do this as I heard it might cause nausea for some and I didn't want to risk it. I am at 50mg, so I have only the one caplet to take.

it doesn't matter if you split it up or not. 6mp builds up in your body and doesn't get eliminated quickly like some other drugs.

Its just cause the GI was like so your taking mp6 twice a day? And im like no, 2 tablets at night.

When I took 1.5 pills a day, I took them together, both before bed.
