Constipation, irregularity, confused

So I'm in a bump in the road, again. I don't think I'm getting enough fiber in my diet, which may be putting me here.

Earlier this evening I had a normal stool, a bit of blood because of a hem. Around 10pm, I had some cramping, went, and had an irregular stool in tons of little pieces. But formed, not watery. But when I wiped I had more blood. Right now I don't know if it's UC or hem's being bothered by the irregularity.

I seem to be going very 2nnd, 3rd, or even 4th day, depending on what I ate. The normal stools aren't constipated lumpy, though. I had this happen on the 4th too, but no blood.

So I don't know what to think.

i always assume a flare and move in the direction of addressing it cautiously - if it turns out to be a hemi, well that's not exactly celebration time but it is a relief -

It's bright red blood, Red. I checked last night when I put some steroid cream on, and I have two hem's partially in and out. When I put cream on, they started bleeding. Had a bit of blood on my underwear also. With UC blood, I find it's all throughout my bm, not just on my tp. I was straining when I had the 2nd bm yesterday.
I have a Rx for steroid foam enema. I'm limited to what I can get because of my intolerance. I'll watch over it for sure to see if I get worse.


Soy, I'm half relieved that it's hems. But I think my constipation is from the lack of fiber. I haven't been on any fiber supplements for months. My first bm was long and a tad larger in width. You'd think if it's inflammation that I wouldn't have a normal one at all. At least that's how I am. If it's inflammation, I'm having trouble all the time and not having normal stools. But right now, I'm just confused on the matter.

Kaz, I think my irregularity could also be caused by my cheat food I had last week. Potato wedges. Ate them a few days in a row, and about an hour later I had cramping both times, and rumbling in my gut a few hours later. Grains never did me any good either, but I can tolerate fruits and veggies. I'll add more in, hopefully that will regulate things abit.


Has anyone found if Benefiber over Metamucil works well with getting them back to normal? Or was it simply psyllium that helps?

I only have a Rx for Cortifoam 10% for 14 days. Will that be alright for a substitute for Anusol?

I can't afford Anusol. I can get the cortifoam tomorrow, and I've just purchased psyllium seed powder. LDN seems to be working, but I'm only 3 months in so it may not be working fully until the 6 month mark. Which can lead to issues like this.

All I can figure out is that the constipation is due to rectal inflammation, thus the hems and the blood. And hopefully the cortifoam will help relieve that, or I'm screwed.

I've been 'normal' since taking LDN in early December. I've just recently had issues. And usually the rectum is the hardest to heal. And conveniently that is where my inflammation is.

Imuran and LDN can be taken together. No evidence of canceling each other out. I have read (on a LDN forum) that some can find results WHEN they directly go on 4.5mg, in a few weeks. But there are some who have gone that route, and other routes, and have seen no results. I would take it for 6 months to rule it out. It's the same with Imuran, it takes awhile to kick in.

Q, hopefully they are more affordable. I do have a refill thankfully. What dosage is the cortifoam, usually compared to procofoam?

Most importantly, is cortifoam even effective for rectal inflammation? That's my main concern.

My family is on a very low income, through disability. So, it's hard for me to find the right medication that's covered. It's not like I don't want to pay for it. It's that I can't. And it gets frustrating.

I just want this to be resolved. I don't care how long. I'm just tired of all of this, you know?

I was curious about this. I was normal before going paleo. Now constipation is kicking my butt.
