My remission was somewhat gradual within about
4 months. But I was doing these things mainly:
The olive oil ritual
psyllium husk powder - Trader Joe's brand
probiotics (6 per day) - Trader Joe's brand
Avoiding ALL soda and preservative type foods
Also when I was flaring BAD I was trying to stick to the "brat" diet - bananas, rice (white), applesauce, and toast. Well that did absolutely nothing for me. I don't eat any of that now, but only the toast. And it's cracked wheat from Trader Joe's. I take the psyllium husk mixed in the Simply Orange/Mango brand found in most stores.
I know I sound like a Trader Joe's sponsor but I'm not. LOL. They are just close to me. Also I wonder about
bananas! I'm doing great WITHOUT them.
What I was actually doing with the olive oil at first was pouring quite a bit of it into my bath water. Everything was getting extremely oily..the towels..my clothes. They still are!! So now I just massage it into my skin instead of pouring into the water. I don't know..maybe the oil has helped put me into a remission?
