What's the fastest transit time you've ever noticed from mouth to toilet?

Ok this is purely for fun. I am having a bout of liquid D and was sticking to liquid broth for 2 days and just then decided I am fed up with that so it's time to try some solid food.... Well, I Saw the pieces of the veggies in the toilet 60 minutes, I kid you not, 60 minutes after eating. Anyone have some more exciting speed records? (Temp ileos or jpouch immediately postvtakedown not eligible).

I once had to use the restroom while I was still eating. But it was a reflex, not the actualy food passing through. I was flaring at that time.

Normally it takes 2 hours for my food to pass through.

I have had asacols go right through fast. Don't know the time but it was fairly quick.

i've always wanted to eat corn and test this out. i just don't eat corn so i haven't haha not sure what other food would work.

dairy brings food through in me 30 minutes when flaring. I thought about using it as a laxative recently, but it flares my immune system so bad I think it would have been a poor idea.

When I am flaring I have to have D while eating no matter what it is. I cannot make it through a meal. I haven't actually seen pieces though

food doesn't go through that fast...
it has to bypass the stomach and the small intestine to do so...

it takes an hour for a purgative to even kick start the digestive tract...and that's meant to make you go.

Were you having bms for two days solid while having broth?

your mouth must have a direct line to your arsehole because the stomach doesn't empty that fast

it's quite common for me to have to go right now mid way through eating. i know it's not the food i'm currently eating but a reflex that triggers the bowels to well... 'go'

Obviously you've never got to the point where your body VIOLEnTLY rejects food then keeps your stomach in spasm for an hour after. Lucky you.

Try breaking fast with one of your most reactive foods and get back to me on how impossible it is.

@Quincy- without any doubt it was an hour... There were chunks of salad in the toilet and ai had not touched salad in a week.... Plus had only broth for two days before this, and nothing but liquid BM's... So it was definitely 60 mins transit time.

I guess to be fair, at that point there was great debate as to if I had Chrohns and a illeo to sigmoid fistula.

2.5 - 3 hours has been my fasted. I had some seaweed and saw it in my poop.

15 minutes! It was seeds and since I don't have a colon, they zipped through. When I had UC I think the fastest transit was 2 hours.

Probably an hour or two. I was paleo before I was diagnosed and right up until I found out it was UC I kept eating my super high fiber mostly veggies half raw diet. I remember going home and eating a gigantic salad after my flex sig... then seeing it very shortly afterward. I seriously had *no idea* that fiber could aggravate digestive issues.

ps - My transit times with my ileo are way slower than when I had my colon, because there's nothing downstream spasming and rushing food through the small intestine. I think this must be why I couldn't gain weight while I had my colon even though I was eating 4000+ calories/day.
