Not sure what to think or do

Ok so I have been doing pretty good on Asacol only for the last few months. Now suddenly I have a wealth of problems and I kind of feel a flare is coming on. I am not sure however it my UC is to blame for all my health issues or my new Diovan HTC which I started 3 or 4 weeks ago. I have been on BP meds for a while but had to switch to this new one because of water retention issues (Cankles lol). I am leaning towards the BP med switch as the culprit for a lot of the issues I have but it could be the UC?

Issues
Terrible fungal infection on my man parts ( I think my suppressed immune system might have led to this)
very decreased libido which just started a few weeks ago
Several sores in my mouth and on my tongue
Lots of skin issues(bumps, itching ect)
Numbness in hands and arms at night

So far my UC minor flares is only 4 times(increased from 2 times) a day with not a lot of urgency and no blood

I am at a loss as to what to do first. I am going to force my PCP to switch my BP med since he is not wanting to as a start. Everything seemed to go south when I started the Diovan hct including my UC flare up.

So is this the route you think I should try first? I figure if things don't get better then I will schedule an appoint with my GI to work it from that angle. Do you think UC flaring slightly could be responsible for any or all of my other issues? When I was in a terrible flare and lost 30+ lbs I had none of these issues so I am not thinking this minor flare would cause all this. This is all very very depressing

Not really. It is hereditary I was in good health, ate right and exercised a lot but it made no difference. Both my parents and my older and younger bros have it as well. Mine was very high and eventually I had no choice.

Kidney failure, eye problems, heart attack. Trust me I did not want to go on the Bp meds and tried to ignore it for years. I used to have blinding headaches for years but that went away once I my BP down. In the long run really high BP can cause a lot of bad health issues.

Hmmm tough to say about the new bp med...I guess anything is possible or it can just be coincidental timing. I don't know how you feel about them...but if you feel a flair coming on...what about starting w/ rectal meds such as Rowasa? This might help nip it in the "butt". Just a thought.

Got appointment with new GI tomorrow and my PCP took me off of the Diuretic part of my BP med. Of course I am in a full blown flair(or is it flare) now :( though so that is a bigger problem

I got some blood work done today so I should know some things in a few days hopefully. Thanks for the info. Ill look into those things London
