My blood sample was sent to Enzo Clinical labs for testing in Nov 2012. They had my incomplete address on file. They sent a bill which returned to Enzo. A woman calls me up to confirm the address. I gave her full and correct address but that monkey AGAIN makes mistake and the bill is sent to a collection agency.
I called back the collection agency. Told them that I never received the bill and corrected the address.
I called up Enzo right after that call. The person who called me for the address was not available (of course) so I talked to someone else. I gave her a good earful in very civil language and chastised on their mistake, plus audacity to sent the bill to a debt collection agency. They could have very well gotten the address from the sample provider but they did not do that. She apologizes and I mentioned, if Enzo employees are so useless that they can not even note down the address then I do not want to do business with them. Of course, losing one customer will not affect their business but it will certainly avoid headache to me. I challenged her about the effect on my credit score. She tells me that it will not affect because it takes about 2 months before it is reported. ( I don't know if she was lying or it is true).
Thats it and I hung up.
Did I make any mistake? or is this how it should be handled?
Thanks in advance.
