I am happy to say I have been steroid free for almost a month and currently doing very well. I feel like for the first time in 10 months I am not scared of living life. I know I am new to UC but I will enjoy this remission as long as I am blessed with it. Asacol seems to help me very much - happy camper. And almost happy new mommy too- 5 months to go 😊

very very happy to read another positive story. personally i had my issues with asacol/mesalamines in general. they seemed to only make things worse :(. but i'm glad it worked for you! and congrats on the upcoming baby!

Chrissy, great to hear that you're feeling so good. Pregnancy might be helping, too - a lot of us had that 2nd trimester relief from IBD. Best wishes on an easy birth!

Keep up the good work. I also believe that the Asacol - pregnancy combo may have done the trick. Don't get cocky and drop the asacol!
