Hey guys they were testing me for Lupus and I got back some labs today. I will post this on the Lupus forum too but can anyone tell me if these numbers would be high from UC?
Alkaline phosphate 156 h. Normal is 33-115
ANA Screen, IFA Positive. Normal is negative
ANA Pattern homogeneous.
ANA Titer 1:160 h. Negative is <1:40
Thank you

do you have your sed rate? It will show maybe as ESR.. and you should also have a CRP result...
what drugs have you been on lately?

I think positive ANA is an indication of Lupus but I don't think that alone can dictate a diagnosis.

They told me my SED was high but apparently she accidentally left off one of the pages of my lab work. I don't have the CRP either. Thank you for trying to help me.

Can only talk personally. My alkaline phosphate has never gone outside the normal level in nearly 30 yrs of UC, it is checked regularly because long term mesalazine can interfere with liver and kidney function.
I had all the Lupus blood tests recently as my body was getting tremendous aches (all went when I started acupuncture amazingly) - mine all came back negative, just a very slightly raised rheumatoid factor, so I don't think your result would be typical of UC - I am obviously not a doctor though...
You seem to be on a great deal of meds - it is possible that many a person's liver would struggle with that...

I'm not sure what your tests mean but I just wanted to say that once I had a blood test that came out as a positive ANA. I went to the rheumy and they tested me for lupus and other AI conditions - my ANA was negative that time. I asked the rheumy why a positive than a negative and he said a possible infection of some sort can cause a positive ANA reading....I don't know if that's true or not.

I thought my liver was hardworking with pentasa, maybe not. Teddtlove it might be worth investigating the benefits of artichoke extract considering your Meds.
