Hi Kataryzna,

I was just reading your edema post.. a bit freaked out by discovering I have pretty swollen feet tonight. I guess in the past I have recently, had some very slight lower leg swelling, but always brushed it off... Then tonight was really noticeable for the first time. Anyway, what also caught my eye was your mention about a bump just above the belly button.. Ive noticed this recently, including earlier today.. It a tad sore and just a small slight lump, and almost slightly bruised color? Any more to add on yours or what you thin it may be??

Don't be so freaked out just yet! It might not be a big deal if you get it checked in time! Sometimes swelling of the feet/ankles could be signs of Chronic Heart Failure (CHF and it isn't as bad as it sounds, sometimes it's just that a side of your heart is weaker than the other). But I'm sure you have Googled around a lot and that is more scary than anything! For me it turned out that I had low albumin levels (protein).. once I got that fixed and took some Lasix to get all the fluids out.. I was perfectly fine.

So if you want to be on the safe side have your GP do the usual routinize for a heart check up as well as blood work. For a normal albumin level it is suppose to be 3.5-5.0 (mine was at a 1.5). I actually found the old board I was complaining about my GI/GP (he's two in one for me):

Do you have trouble breathing, palpitations or any other signs of CHF?

Not everyone has kidney or liver problems but you should get that ruled out as well.

Im worried about psc and other kidney/ liver diseases....

Do you have any on the symptoms? I don't know much about PSC so I cannot really comment on that. But if you have the symptoms, you should go to your GP and check it out.
