Other ways to tone down a flare up?

I am waiting on my results (the 8th of April for my appointment) from my colonoscopy, I have tired prednizone, Cortisone shots, canasa suppositories and nothing seems to be stopping the flare up. I am still having very bloody stools and very very bad cramping, is there anything else I can do in the meantime to tone all this down? All last night my lower right abdomen was hurting, any ideas?

It seems like you should be able to call your DR and get the results of your scope instead of waiting another 9 days. Your GI should be able to call in a prescription to help you deal with whatever was found on the scope.

In the meantime you can try a low residue diet or even a liquid-only diet of easily digestible foods like rice, cooked fruits, etc. Keep using the Canasa if you have any and talk to your DR about mesalamine enemas.
