Today is day one of FODMAP eliminaton phase. I spent the last week 'mostly' FODMAP free, finishing up some stuff around the house, making lists, and going to Whole Foods
I was eating 'lower' residue before this, in an effort to reduce symptoms. I'm mainly looking to reduce gas & bloating right now. I'm having trouble retaining my enemas all night because of gas.
In about
two weeks, I'll start reintroducing FODMAP groups (the challenge phase
) to see if I can systematically determine FODMAP sensitivity.
I'm more of less eating the sample menu out of IBS Free at Last this week, but I'm limiting bananas (don't digest well for me) and eliminating whole nuts (active bleeding).
I'm hoping I'll do better with this than I did with SCD. I don't think I was getting anywhere near enough to eat often enough when I tried that, and I bailed after two weeks.
