Yeah, we're safe somedude. It's just the distraction of the week. Be more worried about the $2.4 trillion worth of yen the Japanese just announced they are going to start printing.

They supposedly have a newer missile that can reach California and the Aleutians though, or sneak it in on a container ship. Still, not gonna happen.

Like I said in another post I was there in 1971,I am quite worried.
Dear leader has gone over the top this time,cut all contacts even messing with the industrial complex where he gets hard money from. I am not too worried about their missiles at this time,more worried about small subs that can carry a bomb,they might be able to get them near a coastal city.
Ground war we win,but perhaps lots of deaths,unless airpower is used very heavy handed.
China is the key,perhaps they are playing a game of some sort,or cannot contol him,they also have a defense pact.
I don't see too many ways for him to back down now,or get out of this easily.
I also find disturbing tht they have had 60 or so years to dig in and hide stuff,they are smart and tuff.
Scares the crap out of me.

I am not sure the average american understands the hate they have for us,at least the leadership.

No, the average N.Korean does hate the US people. All of them do. They hate them with a passion.

Not their fault though. The propaganda there is absolutely astounding. Check out this website, it's an english translation of N.Korea's main newspaper:

Select past news and look for stuff about the US. The stuff I've read there, insane. Apparently 15% of the US are rapists and murderers.

They have the determination, they just don't have the means, plus the higher ups feeding the propaganda must understand that the second they fire a nuke they are completely screwed

Somedude-I think the average NK is totally brainwashed. A doctor who was over there told me how after the surgery the people would bow down to a picture of Kim Jong Il and prayerfully thank him for saving them. This was with only the doctors in the room. I guess it still could have been a show due to fear, IDK.

The Chinese citizens on the other hand, are irritated and want him settle down, I think

He has to know that the regime will end if he does anything.
But with tensions this high a miscalculation could turn into a real mess.
South Korea will strike back in kind now, for any provocation.
The leadership hates us,and the average soldier has been indoctrinated to hate us,they are plain mean.
If this was a sane country I would not have had to be there almost 20 years after the fighting stopped,and the 2nd ID is still there.
Their mode of opperation is to demand concessions but concede nothing.
This is a Stalinist state,how many of his own poeple did Stalin kill.
I assume he wants something,perhaps he does not want to be ignored since he has nukes.
He has given special orders to protect statues of his father and himself,insane,nuts,you bet.
Yes, I am worried.

Kim only has 1 shot....He ain't throwing this at Australia. He's throwing at America, who he hates. Cause really, the minute he throws the missile to U.S., it's the last thing he'll ever do.

I think he's been crazy, not on his way there. Lucky for us they do not have any technology to create a long range weapon. They are like a nagging bit of inflammation that just won't go away :)

I think the reason we don't do anything is because we don't want tension with China. It's always bugged me that we sit back while they threaten us over and over again. In reality, things are so whacky up there, it's actually inhumane for the citizens. It would be nice if we saw some positive change for them in our lifetime.

He gets all the attention while 200,000 are in his prison camps. Read one guys story how he was born into the camp and turned his mother and brother in for rules violations who were hanged and shot in the public execution area - all in the hopes he would finally get a 'full' meal but all he got was torture since the guard took his info and all the credit. Since escaping his moral compass is no longer the prison rules and he regrets his actions.

A former prison guard told the story of children fighting over a single kernel of corn the obtained from a pile of cow dung.

Meanwhile fatboy gets all the news.

No one knows for sure what kind of technology they have...those kinds of assumptions is what usually ends up biting people in the butt.
He's definitely crazy, and I wouldn't put anything past him, no one should...he's in the ranks of Osama and Saddam when it comes to hating the US...they obviously don't like being told what they can and can't do by another country.

Far as I know, N Korea doesn't have it in for Canada and isn't considered a threat to them...unless of course he's got his aim off just enough to hit us instead of the US...he's a kooky bugger for sure!!

dont worry guys, if he starts on America he will have us UK boys to deal with also we may be small but our primeminister has already set up our nuclear weapons again just incase anything does kick off.

If history is anything to go by when the UK and USA go into war with a country the dictator usually falls.

anybody seen the picture of the N.Koreans practising on the beach, they can't even use photoshop very well.

I think I'd be a little more worried if I lived in Soul, but even the South Koreans have said on the news that they're not overly concerned.

That may be the same one I've seen where they are wearing 'electric green' 'camouflage'. That stuff would probably glow in the dark. It was hilarious.

Yeah if I thought they'd actually do something I'd be terrified in Seoul. I think the Norks have something like 13,000 pieces of artillery trained on the city that can fire a 'rough' average of one round/20 seconds. Imagine your city getting shelled with 39,000 rounds a minute. Who needs a nuke in that case.
