I'm prepping today for my scope tomorrow (joy). Night time meds? Take them or no? I know not to taken the morning of except my Prilosec but can't remember if I should take them the night before.

I took mine earlier then normal so that I didn't feel they would just get pooped right out. LOL I took no meds the morning of.

I took bentylol/gravol the night before, not any UC meds. OR the morning of the scope. I started up again with breakfast after the scope.

Remember I take a gallon prep and can eat the morning of the clean-out, so I took my meds then.

I'm also doing the gallon prep this time - Trilyte...ech!

I usually take Prilosec the morning of a procedure because the anesthesia affects my stomach so this prevents it.

sounds good.....you can take whatever meds this morning, however.

I remember I had one in the hospital years ago. No meds were given the night or morning of.

I agree, the main issue is simply that if you take anything right before the prep it may never metabolize. But most meds are certainly are not going to affect the scope itself in any way, because the amount of filler or coloring is going to be negligable in the schem of the size of a colon, esp. Considering that the scoper can use an air jet to sweep aside minor clouds of debris.
