Can you take antibiotics while on UCeris do you know?

Sorry for the many posts, but it's time for me to start my week of cipro, I'm alternating between cipro and flagyl for my UC every month. Flagyl kick my butt only did 4 days, Cipro in the past has worked great!

Just wondering if you can take the two?

I'm on day 6 of uceris, I'm going to continue even though it's giving me bloating! Urgh and my blood hasn't stopped really. My stools are ribbon like and mushy if you're wondering! LOL

I have no idea but since uceris is so non-systemic it is hard to see how there could be any issue.. But I am no doc. Good luck. I just had a nasty reaction to uceris, just another in my long parade of drugs that turned out to be duds.

I'd be careful with Cipro because of all the warnings associated with it.

I had a bad experience with it and will never take it again.

i think it's ok. i've taken prednisone with cipro and flagyl (and 6mp, remicade, canasa ALL at once).

are you on the highest dose of uceris? is that a taper off kind of steroid? i don't really know much about it. entocort gave me the worst cramps, diarrhea, and insomnia. i only stayed on it for 3 days after stopping.
