Right before exams my body decided it hasn't had the cold/flu (flu like symptoms but no fever) in a while. So I am sick right now. I have a Remicade infusion in 2 days and I am wondering if they will still give it to me. When I go they always ask if there have been sign of infections or fever. I'm wondering if I do get a fever or I am sick will I still receive my infusion or will they deem it too risky? Anyone had any experience with this?

You should call your GI. Because its my understanding that they won't give it to you if you're sick.

Nurse/assistant left him a note. I should have a reply end of the day or tomorrow. Has anyone been sick and had the infusion anyway? Did the flu get worse or was it mostly the same?

Weird thing is my BM's have gotten better. Body is probably fighting the flu instead having fun with my colon).

They may or may not. I've seen it go both ways at the infusion center. The nurses will follow your doctor's advice. If you don't call, they will at my center.

My allergies (oak pollen) are going nuts this week. I do not want to add allergy meds right now.
