I knew from the minute I woke up this morning, that i didn't want to go to work. I just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep, but there was too much going on at work and my annoying coworker called out. Should have followed my gut.
It started with my colitis - had to interrupt my morning shower to go. Not exactly fun going with soap/shampoo dripping all over the place. At least I jumped back in and got cleaned up some more.
Soon as I got into work, a needy coworker who hasn't pulled their weight on a giant project asks me to help her. Ultimately, it turned into me doing everything. A very tedious process where the requirements were changed on me at least 4 times. So i had to start, then stop, then start, then stop, then start all over again. This was my entire day. I stayed an hour later and still didn't get it finished. Last week I put in 60 hrs of work, where my teammates only did the minimum 40. So, I decided to wait until tomorrow morning to finish.
On the way home, I saw some commotion. A fire truck was on the side of the road, no cones or blockades. I attempted to proceed, where a cop jumped out screaming at me to stop. "What are you doing?!" "Dont you know you have to stop when you see firefighters!" "Gimme your license and registration!"
I gave him my license, he proceeds to slap it against his wrist "Where did you get this on the street, is this even real?!, Man, get outta here before I change my mind!!! Get outta here!!"
Lucky I didnt get a ticket, but I am not sure what I did wrong. I could see if they were putting out a fire, but the truck was on the side of the road. Judging by the cop's response, I probably wasn't the first one do try and go by.
After that, on my drive home, a tractor trailer who was going at least blared his horn at me as I was entering the freeway. And proceeded to tailgate me for a few miles. Ugh. What.A.Day. I am going to bed now
