Entocort is released in the first part of the ileum and goes from there into the colon. How far down I would think depends on how long it lasts in the colon. It's not that it CAN reach the ileum.
OP..If your UC is pancolitis, then it's a good med to use if you cannot use mesalamines or that they haven't worked well enough for you. If you have backwash UC, it can help that as well.
I do hope you're also on rectal meds.
Entocort can cause all the same symptoms of Prednisone..especially for those who are on it for extended period of time or for those who are extremely sensitive to steroids.
