Hi,
I have had uc since I was 28. I'm 40 now and have been on remicaid for 4 years. My infusions are every 8 weeks. My last two infusions have not been as successful with helping me with my symptoms. So I have started seeing a gaps practitioner. Over the past three weeks I am transitioning into feeling great. Based on how I am feeling now. No urgency, diarehha, and more energy, My hope would be to one day transition off of remicaid. I am hoping to hear some success stories to read to keep me inspired. I'm so surprised right now.I never thought this would work. But I am finding myself with a little bit of hope.

I just started reading a book on GAPS diet but I am just at second chapter detailing background information.
Would love to hear how you are transitioning, what is good and what is not, what tests did they do for you etc. etc.

Glad it's working for you, great news.
Personally, I only tried SCD and then moved on to Paleo, which I love.

Hello,
I am doing okay on the Gaps diet. However, I stopped the broth and transitioned into the next stage, but have seen my stool become softer, so I am cooking more broth, and eating more fermented foods.
It sounds like there are not a lot of people on Gaps but I'd love to hear success stories with any type of diet. It would be nice to hear about
how anyone has transitioned off of meds.
Thanks for any information you can give.

mjw, Im curious to hear as to how you are doing now after being on the gaps diet? I am reading about
it now and am hoping to be able to get myself started on it, right from the beginning (introduction phase).

Please could share details about
diet, sample menu, just as is the paleo diet? I have not been out to eat the same almost every day, now I left the cheese and gluten
