United HealthCare denied my Uceris, which would have been $1300/$60 copay for eight weeks.
Instead, I'm taking oral budesonide at $1615/$30 copay and budesonide enemas at $3044/$60 copay for four weeks!
neat system, huh?

You know it's entirely possible that your insurance company is not paying that $1615 but a much, much lower number. But with "named" non-generic drugs they have to pay a higher rate. Remember the price you see is not the price they pay. It's a giant RICO scheme that punishes the uninsured and semi-punishes the insured by making you take the drug your insurance company has a deal with not the one your doctor wants you to take for your health.
Sometimes I wish I lived in France. Well, long enough to get national insurance and visit all their wonderful villages.

That's what shows up on their claim. They always have the 'discount' or allowed charge on there if they get one.
I obviously don't have the form for Uceris, so that is the retail price from the pharmacy.
