ok this will sound gross but has anyone had like a blackish muscusy leakage wen they wipe after a bm??? and ladies, do u find ur flareups are worse when its that time of the month?? yesterday i was horribly crampy and sooooo gassy along with the bottom pressure. does this happen to you at all??

Yes, it is generally worse. Cramps seem to get my colon in on the act. I've been taking my BCP pills concurrently to avoid having a period for this reason.

right now all ive been given is boscupan to help relax the muscles abit when i have a flare up. had to take 3 yesterday i was so crampy. anything else u might be able to recommend?

That is *typically* old dried blood. I used to have it because I'd have these long scanty periods that weren't clearing my uterus out. I'd randomly get the stray weird mucus with black/ super dark blood at ovulation too. I definitely used to have way worse symptoms right before menses, at ovulation (when I ovulated) and during my menses.

oh no pathogen killer, this isnt with my period, its after a small bowel movement! i havent even really been having what id call an actual bm....just lil watery small ones. today ive had a couple and instead of blood its like a black/greyish mucus im wiping

Oophs, I was confused. so... Its from your anus? I've heard of that many many times but never had anything but bright red blood rectally, personally. I've heard of yeast causing black as well as some meds.. Iron supplements.

Black would definitely be disconcerting but. Know with UC we are super lucky to get almost all colors of the rainbow. ;)

lol ya the last couple days i had a little bit of blood but nothing overally bad like what it has been and just alot of white mucus on my stool. now today its black when i wipe and black mucus on the stool. i was thinking maybe old blood but i was barely bleeding to really have alot of black now??? before when id bleed how many times a day and itd be alot of bright red blood i never once had any black afterwards?!?! im new to all this and its so confusing and nerve racking to me
