what's the 411 on the Delzicol???

Well, my last Asacol script just ran out, & here I am on Day 1 of all-out Delzicol. I find them hard to swallow, I prefer tablets over these particularly sticky capsules. How does everyone find them to be working, same as Ascol? Any weird side effects, etc? And is anyone really taking them on an empty stomach??? Come on, I take 8 pills a day- I'd have to starve all day in order to comply with that rule. Stupid Delzicol... mad

My doctor switched me to Asacol HD which I find to be better than regular Asacol was. I was also prescribed 8 pills per day although a few months back I decreased that to 6 per day. With the HD my prescript now says 4 pills per day and I take 3. Much easier. No problems. Don't have to take them on an empty stomach. You may want to seriously think about switching to the HD when your Delzicol runs out. No more sticky capsules.

EvaLou..have you tried other 5ASA meds other than just the Asacol?
Considering there are other options, you don't have to take the Delzicol...sounds as though it's a farce 9and I don't say it often).

The Asacol HD would be a good option as would Pentasa.
or what about Apriso?
