WAAAHOOOO!! Saved on prescription

So yesterday I was just about to go to Walmart to pick up my new medication. I just happen to go on the boards to see what was new. I saw a post that mentioned goodrx.com. So I thought...might as well try it out. I put in my zip code and name of drug and it showed me what I could get it as.

I have insurance...but NO coverage for prescriptions! And you all know how expensive these drugs are. I was prescribed the generic form of Colazal which is balsalazide. I was suppose to pay $290. for a months worth. I was able to print out a coupon and I got it for $74.80!!!!!!! That is over a $200 savings.

I hope that others out there that are in the same boat as me can take advantage of this.

Now...I just hope and pray that this medicine works!

What state are you in? I tried Walgreens and CVS and neither could process goodrx coupon for me.

Also...the pharmacist at Walmart told me to look at Costco or Sams Club. She said that they are usually cheaper then they are for generic meds.

Couldn't believe she would say this...but she knew that I was trying to get the best price and didn't have prescription coverage.

For me the savings were going to be $15. When I have the chance I'll call goodrx and ask what the problem is in Florida. Or maybe my pharmacies suck (except the last girl made a real effort to process the coupon).

That's great news! I hope others continue to find savings...I referred a buddy (from another unrelated forum) to goodrx.com in hopes that she could save some $ on her RX, also no insurance. I will ask how it went for her.
