Anyone read this before? It is by far the best book on gut flora ive ever read. The author's son had constant c diff infections from the time he was born and was always on antibiotics. She talks about ibd as well and has a ton of studies in every chapter. Shes very thorough in discussing certain bacteria strains and which ones work best for inflammation, c diff, allergies, urinary/vaginal infections, and colon cancer prevention. I found it at the library but plan on ordering it so i have it as a reference. Her name is dr. Kelly karpa and she works as a pharmacist and pharmacology teacher.
Its very "sciency" in the sense that she really breaks down why inflammation happens, what drugs do, and the whole digestive system and its purpose. Fyi- she is not anti meds at all. She just is very enthusiastic about balancing gut bacteria.
