Developing depression with UC

well, since gary has me blocked, I guess i'll post this in hopes that maybe someone else will echo my thoughts =

my biggest gripe is whiners - and gary is at the top of my list on this forum -

I don't understand how someone can bytch and moan about big pharma, incompetent doctors, and greedy insurance companies and yet continue to use these drugs and insurance policies, and see these incompetent docs -

seriously, who is forcing you ? are any of those three entities responsible for your ill health ? if any of them are, then bad on them if they don't fix you -

gee, we gotta blame someone for gary not feeling well -

you say you "cured" yourself once, what's stopping you now ?

and who gives a rats ass about a cure - I just want to be able to live my life with as least resistance as possible - if drugs help me attain that, why would I complain because "nobody" has cured me ???????

sheesh !

and just to clarify, in my mind someone who is having a hard time and comes here to get support is definitely NOT a whiner -

I would greatly appreciate if people don't call other people's opinions idiotic. I have heard a lot of idiotic statements in my life and I have to say that was not up there with any of them. We are all in this together and we all take the path we individually need to take to try to get through the day.

My best advice is not to allow this illness to change your perspective. Take each day one day at a time. We can't control the future, all we can do is learn from our bodies and try to become more aware of what is going on and know when to react. I have learned not to get worked up over every little thing and to let things come as they may and since I stopped getting overly concerned and depressed over things, I've been feeling better. Probably coincidence but I am going to try to continue having this outlook since I feel better. I recommend visiting the depression board here on HW. The people there are very nice and helpful. I also recommend seeing a professional and getting medication or therapy sessions if necessary, you need to do what will make you comfortable living with this illness. When I was flaring, I saw a therapist and took medication and it helped.
