Have you always noticed how socially acceptable glasses are as opposed to hearing aids. Yet, they both design to help with a deficiency. When you see someone with hearing aids, you might stare at it, wondering about how he/she hears with it, why so big, etc. With glasses, it's like part of the face and you don't give it a second thought.
I never thought about
that but that is very true. I guess it has to do with people both young and old wear glasses but most people that have hearing aids are usually older. It is easier to laugh at people that we cannot identify with.
And I hate to admit it, but we do have one of the most embarressing diseases.
