That's really good news about the T-cells research. I'm not a science expert so didn't understand the link between T-cells and progesterone your other links led to.

Anecdotally my UC started around the time of peri-menopause when hormonal levels were wacky and I had massive bleeding due to undiscovered (until much later) fibroid. My body hated birth control pills when younger, again lots of bleeding, so I'm not jumping into progesterone cream.

I love reading about all the researchers out there doing this good work, hope they continue to find new cures with the new tools they have. They are the best thing we've got going for us.

There is a big difference between syntetic hormons and natural form, made from wild yam.
Pregnenolone, DHEA and natural form of progesterone in balanced small dose can be very helpful for women as well as men to balance hormones, give energy, improve sleep and memory and calm the inflammation.
Everything negative that is written is written about syntetic forms of hormones.

From personal experience I wouldn't recommend messing with progesterone. My levels are doubling every few days due to early pregnancy and it has caused a flare just like one of your articles. This happened in my first pregnancy too and the flare settled once the hormones did.
