green stool?

Sunday might and Monday might I ate two big pieces of cakes with blue coloring. Tuesday to Friday I had green stool. Is it normal for coloring to take that long to get out of your system?

Yes it can take a few days for the the coloring to leave. One time I ate Oreos and had black stool for 5 days....it freaked me out lol

Back when I had an ostomy, I had a rather large bowl full of blueberries. about an hour later I had repeated very loose bm's, and the output was an army green color. It was - frightening. Next time I saw my doctor I told him about it, since I was so recently post-op, he said - lay off the blueberries, have a few say in a pancake but never a bowl full! He said to avoid all berries, all would rapidly go thru me and change the color of my stool.

My stools are definitely coloured from food...blueberries colour my stool very dark, as does my iron supplement.

Coloured foods such as M&M's or wine gums make my stool grey..ugh.

Don't worry unless you cannot connect it to food.
