A back up at the urogynecologist

Boy this morning, I had a huge bowel movement at the urogynecologist and monopolized the restroom for 45 minutes. I just couldn't leave!

Had a lentil dinner the night before and not enough water. Suggest that as culprit. Up all night with gas.

Anyway, do you know how many people have to urinate frequently at a urogynecologist's office? The line was long....

And that entire 45 minutes, I couldn't even get a urine sample.

They had never had an incident like that before, the staff told me. We were all laughing.

Good medical staff that keeps a sense of humor! (But it's risky for doctors in that specialty to have only 1 patient restroom. My gastro has 3 in a smallish office.) You are likely right about the lentil dinner impeding your progress next day. I found that eating them with pasta (such as penne) made them transit much better. / Old Hat (32 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I have noticed, all the doctors I visit, they have one or two restrooms in the office and there are at least 2 on the same floor.

I have implemented a practice, whenever I eat food that may be little difficult to digest (tell me chickpeas), I pop in a capsule of Digest Spectrum digestive enzymes and the problem is fixed (before even if occurs).

aww that is no fun!!!! I hate doctor's offices like that.

at the infusion center i'd go to in the digestive health center, there were 10 chairs with 1 bathroom. I just don't get it. we are all here because we are really sick with some digestive problem and yet you give us one bathroom. I had the WORST anxiety every time I went there.

oh boy...the war of the urgencies..lol.

What oral med are you on and how much? I think that's the one thing you need to increase (I'm assuming you're on nightly enemas already).

Anything else you've added to your regimen or changed?

What probiotics are you using?

What fibre supplements?

Hope you can get this under control soon...
