I'm personally convinced (sans scientific data, I will admit) that these kinds of outbreaks are becoming more and more common because of the overuse of antibiotics, and generally poor diet that most Americans follow.

This type of strain is usually spread by someone, who's infected, not washing their hands properly when handling fresh produce..
For anyone concerned about
produce, wash and dry it really well to prevent possible contaminated residue.
@Inso, yeah I kind of looked at my grapes a little differently after reading this article.
