Is it safe to use a nightly steroid enema while on Uceris to help calm my inflammation. I've been bleeding quite a bit lately. I think this might be a silly question, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. It seems to really be helping me at the time and I've only been doing it for two days now.

generally yes. ask doctor. we cannot really answer question in specific case.

there is little systemic absorption with hydro-cortisone enemas, so it is like being on a slightly higher dose of Uceris.

There are different dosage of steroid enemas, so that can be an issue, depending on how much you're using and for how long.

Can you not use mesalamine enemas?

Hey Quincy! No, mesalamine enemas give me horrible side effects. At first they were working for me, and then all of a sudden it was like my body said no more to these enemas. The hydrocortisone enema is 100MG/60 ML...
