I agree, the reason to go is to get faster tests, labs, even scopes, but at great expense.
In my case I was done with out of pocket from the head-on collision in February when a monster truck totalled mine.
So I expect my ER trip to be very low cost. I also had dumped my GI and could not easily get prednisone and he would never give me vicodin even though it calms my UC but the ER gave me both plus the CT scan and should have put more water in me IV but I resumed my 2 weeks off and was back to work planting large trees in the heat plus a zillion other projects.
